Kimono Fabrics

Please see the website of Clothaholics, for the wide range of kimono fabrics. All of the kimono fabrics on the site are imported from Japan. These narrow-width kimono fabrics have been used to make silk kimono for hundreds of years. Each bolt of fabric is produced for one kimono - the Japanese don't do production runs of thousands of metres so there is a high level of hand-finishing, e.g., hand-painting, stencilling, ikat, tie-dye, etc. The fabrics on the site date anywhere from the 1940's to last year. Their narrow width makes them ideal for scarves, hanging banners, table runners and cushions. For more information on the details of the fabrics they offer, please see their website www.clothaholics.com
